Michael Shumsky comes from a long line of garage door technicians. Michael's uncle, Roger Robinson, started his door company in the mid 1960s where Michael's older brother William, joined him. At that time, Michael started his training while still in High School and continued through his College years. When Michael's brother William started his own company, Michael began his true apprenticeship. The brother's worked together, until 1980, when William relocated his company to upper state New York and at that time Michael launched his own business, Michael Shumsky Overhead Doors.
Following in a long line of experienced installers, Michael takes great pride carrying on the traditions of quality workmanship, honesty and prompt customer service. Roger's motto was, “treat the customer as you would like to be treated”, and Michael continues with this philosophy of customer-focused service. Michael's services include installation of electronic openers; steel walk through doors; loading dock equipment; commercial sectional and rolling steel doors; storefront security grills and shutters in addition to garage doors.
